Local Society part of Hearth, Home and Away

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- One local society is proud to be part of this year’s Hearth, Home and Away show.
Muskingum Valley Garden Society was honored to come to Colony Square Mall this weekend. Appointment Coordinator Darlene Turner hopes the public will come out to support their local projects including their most recent endeavor.
“We hope to let the public know that we are the group here that do the downtown containers. We have a 122 containers that we have this year and we have had many people here sponsor a container and we would like to see what we have to offer here for our projects.”
Muskingum Valley Garden Society will host their 14th annual symposium on March the 4th from 7:30 to 2 at OUZ’s Campus. Society member Kim Thomas explains what to expect this year.
“The topics for this years symposium is sustainable gardening. The theme is going to be very interesting, it’s presented by Thomas Rainer, who is a registered landscape architect and teacher and writer from Washington DC.”
