Shrider Pleads Not Guilty in Fatal Accident

A Zanesville man charged in connection with a fatal accident last December appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court. The Prosecutor’s Office says that 22-year-old Spencer Shrider who is charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and operating a vehicle under the influence plead not guilty. Zanesville Police say on December 24th of 2016 Shrider was driving north on Northpointe Drive went off the road and struck a utility pole. Police say a passenger in the vehicle 22-year-old Shey Herd died as a result of the accident. Judge Kelly Cottrill continued Shrider’s bond at $100,000.
