Locals gather to help end homelessness

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Locals gathered this afternoon in an effort to end homelessness.
Christ’s Table hosted a meeting addressing the issue after the 2017 winter report found an increase of over 60 individuals living homeless here in Zanesville. Executive Director of Christ’s Table Keely Warden explains the meeting is a call for community support.
“That’s our goal today, is to bring this community together to find how we can better serve those that are out there without shelter. How we can come together and tackle this problem as a community.”
Warden hopes the community can collaborate efforts and resources to help those in need.
“Our goals today is to look at whose in the room, what they are doing, how they are doing it, and when they’re doing so we can form a resource guide for those that are homeless out there so they know where to go when they need certain items; they know where to go when they’re hungry on certain days. The second goal is to identify our gaps in services; identify those places that we’re missing what we need to be doing.”
Warden thanks the community for their continuing interest in helping those less fortunate.
