Jennie M. Anderson

ZANESVILLE

Jennie Mae Anderson, 97, spouse of the late Dr. W.R. “Andy” Anderson, PhD., passed away on March 2, 2017. She was born September 17, 1919 in New Tazewell, TN and was the daughter of the late Berbin and Mattie Love Epperson.

Jennie was a member of North Terrace Church of Christ, Flint Ridge Explorers Club, Zanes and Janes square dance club and a former hairdresser and homemaker. Her true passion in life was taking care of her family including her husband on home dialysis. This contributed to the establishment of the Muskingum County Kidney Foundation, where her husband was the president and she was the treasurer.

She is survived by her four daughters: Mary (Donald) Janicki of Chandlersville, OH; Bonnie Riesen of Galena, OH; Jennifer Moore of Nashport, OH and Nancy (Peter) Adgate of Jonesboro, GA; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and a sister Gaynelle Beekman Hargrove of Akron, OH.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson Joshua Ach; a brother James “Jim” Epperson; a sister Berniece Gladden; and her son in laws James Moore and Douglas Riesen.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM Sunday, March 5, 2017 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. A comforting funeral service will be held at 2PM, Monday, March 6, 2017, in the Snouffer Chapel with Bill Meaige officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
