Public Meeting for Intersection Project

Roundabout

A project’s planned to improve safety and congestion at two Morgan County intersections.

The Ohio Department of Transportation District 10 is holding a meeting to discuss the $3.2(m) project in April.

As part of the project new roundabouts will be constructed at either end of the new bridge connecting Malta and McConnelsville.

One roundabout would be at the intersection of State Routes 37/78/669 and North Main Street in Malta. the Other would be at the intersection of State Route 78/60/37 in McConnelsville.

As part of the project repairs will be made on the bridge and sidewalk on the bridge will be widened.

ODOT is partnering with the Morgan County Commissioners, the Morgan County Engineer, the Morgan County Improvement Corporation and the villages of Malta and McConnelsville on the project.

The public meeting will take place April 4th from 3-7pm at the Riecker Building at 155 Main Street in McConnelsville.

ODOT District 10 Deputy Director Steve Williams will make presentations at 3:30pm and 6pm.
