I-70 at 152 Eastbound closure

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO- 

LATEST UPDATE: One lane is now open; work is still being done to get the truck back on the highway.

EARLIER:

According to the Muskingum County Sherrif’s office I-70 at mile marker 152 Eastbound is closed. All traffic is currently being diverted through downtown which is leading to further delays. They are asking the public to seek alternative routes if possible.

According to EMA Director Jeff Jadwin, a crash occurred on I-70 Eastbound at mile marker 157 involving a cargo truck. The driver has no reported injuries, though powerlines were damaged and the tanker does have a fuel leak. Due to the accident, Eastbound on ramps at State Street and Underwood are currently closed.
