New Lex’s Williams advances to wrestling state championship

COLUMBUS, Ohio – New Lexington senior Dimitri Williams will try to become the second Panther grappler in two years to win a wrestling state title.

Williams defeated David Heath of St. Vincent-St. Mary in the quarterfinal round, then beat Tre Terry of Bath high school in the semifinal round.

The senior will face David Crawfield of Canfield Saturday night for the 170-pound state title.
