Man Announces Candidacy for 93rd District

93rd District State Representative Jennifer Garrison is leaving her position to run for Ohio Secretary of State, and one local man wants to fill her shoes.

Frank Fleischer announced his candidacy this afternoon at the Crossroads Library in Cambridge.

"I’ve lived in both Guernsey County and Washington County. I feel I know the services in this area and the people in this area. I want to improve the quality of life, " says Fleischer.

Guernsey County resident Marie Paver is a friend of Fleischer’s. She says he wants to push residents’ interests to the forefront.

"His background in mental health and his concern about our older citizens, being kept in their homes, " says Paver.

Fleischer is currently the only candidate running for the 93rd District seat.

His campaign slogan focuses on four major issues: budget responsibility, advocate for quality community-based services, new opportunities for 21st century jobs, and keep seniors at home.
