Ford’s BP Owner Dies

A longtime local businessman has died.  74-year-old Jim Ford of Dresden operated Ford’s BP on Blue and State Streets from 1966 to 2002.  His friends and family say a lot of free coffee along with free advice was given there, solving all the world’s problems.  In the 1970’s he began Ford’s Towing and loved assisting local law enforcement and fire departments on tow calls.  Jim Ford was a tough guy with a heart of gold and a friend and supporter of law enforcement.   Family and friends may call from 2:00 until 8:00 pm on Saturday April 1st at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home on Blue Avenue in Zanesville where services will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm.  Ford will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park.
