Animal Shelter Society hosts annual Yappy Hour

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-  Locals gathered to support the Animal Shelter Society tonight.

The shelter hosted their annual Yappy Hour fundraiser at the Country Club this evening. President of the Board of Directors for the Animal Shelter Society, Stephanie Hill, explains the event is a great opportunity to support the animal shelter.

“This is our third annual Yappy Hour fundraiser for the Animal Shelter Society. We hold it here at the Zanesville Country Club each spring and it’s just a great event a lot of local folks come out and support us, we have hors d’oeurves and desserts from some caters and some great auction items as well.”

Hill notes the Animal Shelter Society is a private non-profit organization that relies on fees and the generosity of donations.

“So we do not receive any government funding at all so everything we get comes from our adoption fees, our wellness fees, and obviously events like this and generous people in our community that supports us with donations.”

Hill thanks local citizens and businesses for their continued support.
