Animal Shelter Society Pet of the Week: Meet Hank!

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It’s time to visit the Animal Shelter Society with Executive Director April Gibson to meet this week’s pet of the week.
This is Hank, a 1-year-old German Shepherd/Poodle mix with a lot of energy and love in his heart. He’s a very social canine and his friendly with other dogs of all sizes. Gibson hopes to find a home for himself that can handle his size and energy.
“He is big. I don’t think he always understands his size so we would strongly recommend, you know, no kids under 10. He’s not aggressive or anything, he just, he plays. He’s going to run, he’s going to be active and we’re going to want to have a place for him where he can run, have some place fenced in. You know and go out for walks and he’ll be very good with a family that’s active,” Gibson said. “That’s what we’re really going to be looking for in his application process.”
The shelter has two major events coming up with the third annual Pickleball for Paws taking place on May 2nd and if you missed the first Feral Felines Sing-Along Brunch event, Gibson has great news.
“The first one was such a hit there at the Tiny Tap at the Densmore’s. So the second one is April 18th from 10 to 1 p.m. Reservations are only $20 and you get those here at the shelter. You can either stop by, we’re located right there behind Zane State College or you can give us a call at (740) 452-1077,” Gibson said. “You know we’re really thankful for the Tiny Tap Tavern, the Densmores and what they’ve done for us. It’s simply amazing. ”
