Locals send off Morgan County troops

MCCONNELSVILLE, Ohio- Community members gathered Saturday morning to provide a send-off for local troops leaving on deployment.

Motorcycle groups gathered at the VFW Post 4713 in Malta around 10 a.m. and then made their way to Morgan High School where they escorted roughly 300 soldiers from the Army National Guard Hawk Missile Base to Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base in Columbus.

A large group of supporters lined the streets where the procession traveled through Duncan Falls by Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Local organizers refused to comment.
