2017 Women of Achievement Recipient Brenda Larrick

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The 2017 Women of Achievement Event is now sold out and one recipient is honored to be apart of this years ceremony.

WHIZ Media Group’s Radio Programming Director, Brenda Larrick is the Mary Townsend Professions recipient for the 2017 Women of Achievement Event. Larrick said she knows most of the recipients from past and present and notices how committed and driven they are in the community.

“There have been so many outstanding women,” Larrick said. “So many just unbelievably talented, capable, and compassionate women that have been nominated for this and that have achieved this award. So to be counted among them, it doesn’t feel like I belong, but at the same time it is quite an honor.”

Larrick expressed many people will do amazing things quietly and sometimes that recognition doesn’t come along, but the reward is in those who are effected.

“It is the day-to-day people that you impact, the people that you effect, the people that receive the benefit of what you’re accomplishing,” Larrick said. “Whether you ever get to achieve that title of Women of Achievement or not you’ve still definitely have achieved something valuable.”

The 2017 Women of Achievement Event will take place on April 11,2017 at the Ohio University Zanesville and Zane State College Campus Center with dinner at 6:00 P.M. WHIZ will keep covering recipients and updates for the ceremony.
