Adult Learning Program

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Literacy involves polishing and expanding numerous skillsets that are needed to keep up with the times.
Muskingum County Library System Adult Literacy Specialist Monica Quinn shares the benefits that adults can experience through the Adult Learners program.
“I match adult learners with tutors to help them meet their specific needs. Be that getting better at reading, reading comprehension, working on their writing skills, or their English speaking skills. I also select items for the Adult Learning Center, which includes tools to help adults improve in whatever skillset they’re seeking to improve,” Quinn said.
Skillsets that you graduated high school with can naturally diminish if they haven’t been used and coming to the conclusion that they need polished and reaching out for help can be a hard step to take.
“If folks are interested in receiving services, they just need to stop into the library… any location or call. Anybody should be able to get them the right information. But if they want to get in touch with me specifically, they can just call the library and my extension is 162 or they can email me at monica@muskingumlibrary.org,” Quinn said.
The MCLS Adult Learning program is free, confidential and each session is custom tailored to comfortably serve each individual at their level in order to achieve the skillsets they are looking to improve.
