SOUTH ZANESVILLE, OH – A lot of tickets, a lot of support… and now, one very lucky winner.

The South Zanesville Fire Department has officially drawn the winner of its 2025 Polaris General raffle. Tickets were $25 each, with 2,000 available, and they completely sold out. All proceeds from the raffle go directly back to the fire department.

“It’s very exciting. It shows our dedication to our people, and it shows the people’s dedication to the fire department. They help support us. It’s a way for us to give back and it also generates funds to help with day-to-day operations that we do here. We try to do as much as we can for our community because they support us and we’re going to support them.” South Zanesville Fire Chief, Russell Taylor, said.

The winner, Patrick Burkhart, now has the choice between taking home the Polaris General or opting for $30,000 in store credit. After the name was drawn, Fire Chief Russel Taylor gave the lucky winner a call to share the exciting news.

“Patrick Burkhart was the lucky winner today. I just got off the phone with his wife, and she said her birthday is tomorrow. She was so happy to have this for her birthday. So, I want to wish her a happy birthday and thank her for supporting us.” Chief Taylor said.

The department says they have several other raffles currently underway. You can find more information on those on the South Zanesville Fire Department’s website.
