Patrol Says Alcohol Suspected in Crash

The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol said a Grove City man was killed after a one vehicle accident.

The Patrol said at 11:56pm on Tuesday 31-year-old Joshua Finkel was driving southbound on York Road in Harrison Township, in a 2002 Acura TL when he drove off the right side of the roadway and struck the guardrail.

Finkel continued driving off the embankment where he became airborne striking a concrete wall.

The Patrol said Finkel’s vehicle then overturned and became submerged in the creek under York Road.

Finkel was rescued by the West Licking Fire Department. He was transported to Grant Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The Patrol said alcohol is suspected and considered to be a factor for the crash.
