Superintendent Sheridan Statement on Levy Defeat

Eastmusiingum

“The Board of Education and I would like to thank the army of workers on this committee who brought their talents and took no shortcuts to create a first class campaign.  It is disappointing to know we will continue with the lack of facilities we need. We will make every attempt not to compromise our students, however these limitations will continue to erode our quantity and quality of programs.  No matter which side of the fence a person has been on, it has been valuable, through both the capital campaign and the levy work, to become more connected with strong families who are passionate about Muskies, love this community and value neighbors.I’m secure in the thought that our district and community can more forward.  Make no mistake, Muskie Pride you can’t divide!  The Board of Education will be reviewing the results and  taking  the voices of the community into consideration as we analyze the next steps  to move the District forward.”
