A Zanesville man sentenced to prison for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor was granted judicial release.

The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says  the ruling came from Muskingum County Common Pleas Judge Mark Fleegle.

19-year-old KeShawn Underwood was sentenced to 18 months in prison and classified as a Tier II sex offender in December of 2016.  He had pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful sexual conduct involving a minor, two counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and one count of tampering with evidence.

In February, his attorney filed a motion in Common Pleas Court arguing for judicial release, which was granted in a hearing Monday morning.

Judge Fleegle placed Underwood on probation for five years and ordered him to get his high school diploma; no participation in any extra-curricular activities; wear a GPS monitor for 4 months; submit to an assessment with Allwell and successfully complete any recommendations which may be made; perform 100 hours of public service within one year, no contact with victim either directly or indirectly and successfully complete all programs as directed by the Court’s Probation Department.
