Cowboys, Outlaws a Plenty at BBBSAOH’s Annual Bowl for Kids Sake

ZANESVILLE, OH – Sunrise Bowling Center is the talk of the town as cowboys and outlaws mosey in for the annual Big Brothers Big Sisters of Appalachian Ohio’s Bowl for Kids Sake.
Bowl for Kids Sake is still going on for one more day, if you and your posse are looking for a fun time while supporting local youth mentorship.
Sawyer James, the President of Big Brothers Big Sisters, says it’s great to see the community get involved and have a great time while doing it.
“We’re so very excited to see so many community members come and support us.” James said. “Each year they always really show up, it’s really fun for this fundraiser because we get to see kids come and dress up, we see high schoolers really participating, so this is a really great family, community event and that’s nice to see.”
On top of the bowling, attendees can also hop into the photo booth, get a caricature done, grab some food or drinks, and take part in the 50/50 drawing.
James says Bowl for Kids Sake has been around for years, but the community coming together and supporting this event is what has made it a huge success.
“People coming together as a community and supporting their youth.” James said. “It’s amazing how much people really care for the youth in our community and they show up. This is a prime example of them doing that and really caring and wanting to give back to mentoring, especially our Bigs and our Littles, they get to come and bowl and enjoy themselves as well.”
