Laura Sue Koppert-Skidmore 1965-2017

Laura Sue Koppert Skidmore, 51 of Heath, died 7:32 PM, Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. She was born Thursday, September 16, 1965 in Heath, the daughter of William Henry Koppert and Evenes Marie (Stanley) Koppert. She married Robert “Bob” R. Skidmore April 5, 2003.

Laura was a Heath High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Toledo. She was a Claims Manager with State Farm Insurance for over 28 years. Laura was a huge Star Wars Fan and passed on May 4th, National Star Wars Day, “May the 4th Be With You.” She was a loving and caring wife and mother who greatly enjoyed the time she spent with her family.

In addition to her mother: Evenes M. Koppert of Heath, Laura is survived by her husband: Bob Skidmore; her step-daughter: Melissa (Zane) Luckhaupt of Duncan Falls; one sister: Sharon Koppert of Heath; one brother: William S. (Julie) Koppert of Newark; three nieces; one nephew and many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, Laura was preceded in death by one sister: Kay Koppert-Turner.

Friends may call Saturday, May 13, 2017, from 9:30 AM till 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church, 88 North Fifth Street, Newark, Ohio, where Funeral Services to Celebrate the Life of Laura will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Steve Rath officiating.
