Pet of the Week

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Let’s take this moment to meet Bessy our Pet of the Week.

Bessy is a 2-year-old boxer-mix who originally came from the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center. Bessy has been updated on shots and gotten her surgery. She now just needs a fur-ever home.

“She’s the highlight, everybody loves her. She just loves everybody, every dog, doesn’t seem to mind cats either,” Assistant Director Charity Stevens said. “She is just a bundle of joy. Like I said if you’re having a bad day you can go in her kennel and take her out. It just melts away cause she just is lovely.”

The Animal Shelter Society has the ‘Paws-N-Claws Summer Jam’ coming up on June 3, 2017 from noon until 6:00 P.M. at the Muskingum Family Y.M.C.A. WHIZ Meteorologist Phil Sakal will be in the Celebrity Dunk Tank at 2:00 P.M.
