Roger L. Cox

ZANESVILLE
Roger L. Cox, 74 of Zanesville, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born December 10, 1942 to the late William Henry and Edythe Jenkins Cox. Roger was retired from Central Ohio Coal Company and City of Zanesville and a member of North Terrace Church of Christ. He served our country and protected our freedom in the United States Army during Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Shields Cox; a daughter Sandra Cox Fraley (William Phillips); a son, David Cox ; three step children; three grandchildren: Austin Fraley, Alexandria Fraley and Madeline Fraley; seven step grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; a brother, William (Linda) Cox; three sisters: Linda (Deb) Canter, Cathy Barron and Robin (Allen) Glenn.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Paul Barron.
Calling hours will be held 5 to 8PM, Thursday, May 18, 2017 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will 11AM, Friday May 19, 2017 in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Sturman Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with full military honors by George Selsam VFW Post 1058.
