Pet of the Week

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – For those feeling a little slow and run down, Speedy will make your mood perk up.

Today’s Pet of the Week is Speedy a Turkish Van mix who is around nine months old. The Animal Shelter Society’s Executive Director Jody Murray said Speedy has had his surgery and been updated on shots.

“Come in spend some time with him in one of our play rooms,” Murray said. “Play with him for a little bit and again if you’re looking for young cats, we don’t always have a lot of kittens here. So this would be a good one to consider if you’re looking for a young cat to adopt.”

Speedy is a fun-loving cat who gets along with other animals and people. Speedy’s adoption fee is $60.00 and he will be chipped following the adopting.

Noodles and Company is holding a benefit night on Tuesday May 23, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. in the evening. Each guest will receive an entrée and fountain beverage for a 5 dollar donation. All proceeds will go towards the Animal Shelter Society.

“The great thing about this shelter is that it is a local shelter. All the money that’s raised comes right back to the shelter,” Murray said. “Helps off set the cost we have for cats like Speedy that you know we can get adopted out to a home.”

Noodles and Company is located at 3753 Maple Avenue in Zanesville. The Animal Shelter Society will be attending the benefit with a few friendly dogs.
