Animal Shelter Society Pet of the Week: Sweet Stormy
ZANESVILLE, OH – This week’s Animal Shelter Society Pet of the Week is a cuddly little cat ready for a forever home.
Stormy is a 9-month-old female domestic shorthair at the Animal Shelter Society. She’s known for being incredibly cuddly, friendly, and always ready to curl up with her favorite humans. May is the purr-fect time to adopt, as the shelter is offering a special on cat adoptions all month long.
“Our May special is coming out. The adoption fees, like for Stormy, would be $25 and anything under 6 months would be $50. So, that’s running through May. Just keep in mind, all of our animals are fully vetted before they leave and that includes microchipping.” Executive Director, April Gibson said.
The shelter is also preparing for its Feral Feline: Moms Edition fundraiser on May 9th, helping support animals in need throughout the community.
“With a paid daughter’s reservation, their mom can come in at no reservation fee. We thought that was nice. Everybody gets a tierra and it’s at Tiny Tap from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It’s just a good time. We are going to keep the crowd down a little bit. Some of the moms may like it if it’s not as crowded, so we’re not doing as many reservations. You can stop by the shelter or call us to get your reservation.” Gibson said.
