Dudas Sentenced to Life In Prison

The man who pled guilty in connection with the murder of a homeless Zanesville man learned his fate in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court. 41-year-old Dale Dudas was sentenced to life in prison by Judge Mark Fleegle. He is eligible for parole in 20 years. In April Dudas pled guilty to one count of Aggravated Murder. Zanesville Police say they arrested and charged Dudas after the body of 62-year-old Leo Hayes was found on fire November 12th, 2016 on the porch of Central Presbyterian Church on 6th Street. A coroner ruled that Hayes died of blunt force trauma and was then set on fire.
