Warriors 2 Wilderness Hosting “Dine for 22” Fundraiser
ZANESVILLE, OH – A local organization is bringing the community together for an evening of food, fellowship, and support for America’s veterans.
Warriors 2 Wilderness will host its “Dine for 22” fundraiser and dinner event on May 23rd. The event will feature dinner, raffles, and opportunities for the community to come together in support of those who have served.
“At ‘Dine for 22’ we’re going to have a BBQ buffet, games, and live auctions. It’s a lot of fun and an opportunity for people to chat, hangout, and help our veterans.” Warriors 2 Wilderness Fundraising Co-chair, Chuck Berry said.
Organizers say the event aims to raise awareness for veterans facing mental health challenges and PTSD, while also creating a supportive environment where veterans can connect with others and the outdoors.
“What we’ve seen with Warriors 2 Wilderness is that it’s become an opportunity for veterans to connect with the outdoors and work on their mental health. Right now, we lose a veteran every 65 minutes in America to suicide. So, to help with mental health, to help with wellbeing, and to maybe get on the right path to a healthier life.” Berry said.
The Warriors 2 Wilderness “Dine for 22” fundraiser will be held May 23rd at 5 p.m. at Circle KD Tree Farm and Event Venue in Blue Rock. Tickets are $22 and can be purchased online at Warrior 2 Wilderness dot com or in person at Imlay Florists in downtown Zanesville.
