Port Authority Discusses Growth at Monthly Meeting

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority is continuing to focus on the future of business growth across our area.
The Port Authority held its monthly meeting today, where members discussed ongoing marketing efforts and the recent redesign of the organization’s website. Officials say the updated site was created to make it easier for businesses and community members to find information about economic development opportunities throughout Muskingum County.
“We updated our website and tried to make it a little bit more user friendly. There’s a lot of information there. When a business, investor, or a representative looks at our county, we want to have it all in one place. So, we’ve made some enhancements to our website to make that a little bit easier.” Eric Reed, the Executive Director of the Port Authority, said.
Officials also highlighted the Port Authority’s continued outreach efforts with local businesses. They say maintaining strong communication with companies across the county helps them better understand current needs and connect businesses with available resources and support.
“The Port Authority along with Ohio Southeast go out and we make Business Retention & Expansion visits to any local business in the county. That way we can understand their needs and have an open line of communication to provide services whether that be for equipment or for workforce. There’s various programs that can aid in the businesses to promote local businesses here in our county.” Reed said.
