Seizure Warrant executed at Iroc Hair Design Studio

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office along with the Zanesville Police Department executed a seizure warrant on the morning of June 1st at Iroc Hair Design Studio on State Street in Zanesville.
Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz reports that the owner of Iroc Hair Design Studio, Ivan Smith, was recently found guilty on several drug charges as part of an investigation dating back to July of 2016.
“Our guys actually did a search warrant at 128 Hamline Ave where we had some suspicion of cultivating marijuana, growing marijuana, and possession of marijuana there and so out of that case we were able to get indictments against an Ivan Smith who was recently found guilty in this trial.”
Out of that search warrant Lutz notes they were able to put a document case together and also charge Smith with money laundering.
“Through the Prosecutors Office with Mike Haddox we where able to get money laundering charges filed against him and so all that concluded here recently. He went to trial on the case, we got a guilty verdict on the case and we had a seizure order through Judge Cottrill at Common Pleas Court to seize this facility and the contents inside.”
Lutz says they also took possession of two cars and everything seized will be forfeited and sold.
