Local Foundation receives generous donation

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local foundation received a generous donation today.
The Zanesville Woman’s Bowling Association (ZWBA) presented the Veterans Appreciation Foundation with a check of funds raised through several fundraisers. A member on the board of directors for the ZWBA, Linzey Allen, explained why they chose to donate to the foundation.
“One of our local bowlers brought this foundation to our attention and said you really need to get ahold of Mr. Arnold and Mr. Galloway and talk with them about the Veterans Appreciation Foundation and through them we got some more information and really liked where this was going and the things they were doing for our veterans in our community.”
Co-Founder of the Veterans Appreciation Foundation, Steve Galloway, notes the foundation has several events planned for the second weekend in June.
“Saturday morning we are giving a free breakfast for all the veterans at Terry’s Tavern and we hope to have a big crowd for that and that will be from 8 till 10 o’clock at Terry’s Tavern for all the veterans a free breakfast and then that afternoon and evening we will have all kinds of entertainment at Terry’s Tavern and we will have a silent auction down there.”
The Foundations next big plan is the Veterans Appreciation Memorial to be built at the Green Valley Golf Course and is set to be completed by this fall.
