ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local Art Gallery is relocating and opening their doors as part of the First Friday Art Walk.

Local artists Ron Cole and Erin France are celebrating their grand opening on June 2nd at their new location on 53rd 4th street in downtown Zanesville. Cole explains they were previously located in the Masonic Temple, but simply outgrew the space.

“The temple was a great place to get a start but most people typically grow out of it after a couple or three years and still support everything that goes on over there but you know we have much greater capability to reach the public here a greater capability to improve downtown which is something that’s always a priority with us and trying to work with the City Council and other programs that are ongoing locally to promote the arts and to promote downtown Zanesville.”

France says they have some fun events planned in the future for the gallery.

“So we will be open every first Friday and then we are happy to announce that we are going to do some events and I’m very excited to put a Halloween event on the schedule which I will announce soon what those dates are but we think that that’s going to be a really fun deal here at the gallery in October.”

The gallery will also host young local artists throughout the year as part of their sponsorship program.
