Fink’s Harley Davidson announces motorcycle winner

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – As Veterans Appreciation Weekend wraps up, one man is going home with the surprise of a lifetime.
On Sunday, Fink’s Harley Davidson held a roadster raffle in which one lucky person would win a brand new motorcycle. The raffle was in association with Veterans Appreciation Weekend and all proceeds from the event will benefit a number of non-profit organizations.
“This year, the money we raised will be going to organizations such as Flags of Honor, National Honor Flight and the Wounded Warrior Project,” said Troy Fink, Manager of Fink’s Harley Davidson.
Jeffrey L. Davis, who was the winner of the roadster raffle, expressed that while he was more than surprised to learn he had won, his true intentions of buying the tickets was to help support the cause.
“To be honest, the main reason I bought the tickets was to just help support the veterans and I really didn’t even pay much attention to the bike at all,” said Davis. “When I got the news that I’d won, I couldn’t believe it because I’d never really won anything since probably back in the 80’s and that was just a VCR. As a matter of fact, I ended up calling Troy just to confirm that I actually won before I came down because I couldn’t believe it.”
Although Davis may not have been expecting to win the raffle, he thinks he’ll still be able to get some good use out of the motorcycle.
“It’s been a while since I’ve had a larger motorcycle and I recently just retired so now that I’ve got some free time on my hands, I think I’ll really enjoy riding it,” said Davis.
