Morgan County to host 50th Howard Chandler Christy Art Guild Festival
MCCONNELSVILLE, Ohio- Morgan County is calling all local artists.
The Howard Chandler Christy Art Guild is holding its 50th annual art show July 29th and 30th in McConnelsville. President, Gretchen Harper, says they are partnering with the Morgan County Community of the Arts to expand the event and are encouraging local artists to register for the show.
“We are working together to make it bigger and better, more family events. We will have art on our side which will be an art show that is non juried. We are looking for more artists no matter what the art type is. As long as its handmade and you made it.”
President of the Morgan County Community of the Arts, Melanie Baldwin, explains the art show will feature much more than typical art.
“We are kinda bringing the other art genres to the table. So we have live music, we have a couple of new groups down in our organization. We have a writing group so they will be coming to share stories, some poetry, we have a robot and drone presentation from the highs school.”
