Local Hotel Reopens with New Name

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local hotel changed names with a grand reopening on June 21st.
Comfort Inn located on 500 Monroe Street, just off I-70, reopened as a Quality Inn & Suites after a year-long of renovations. Co-Owner, Larry Wade, explained after 30 years as a Comfort Inn they wanted to change the name to reflect the services they offer.
“In the last three or four years we have been wanting to change the name to Comfort Inn & Suites and Choice Hotels would not let us do it and so we said hey we built twelve beautiful suites and the area really needed something special and they said you know if wanna go and do that you can change to a Quality Inn & Suites and we like the idea.”
Wade said the hotel features many improvements with the reopening.
“We added all new furniture and bedding to all the rooms. We put a new elevator on our south end. We had not had that before, we had two floors. We have three floors on our right side of the building and we have twelve suites that we added on there.”
Wade notes after 40 years in the hotel businesses, he is honored to invest in something special for Zanesville.
