Joy Ellen Larson 1946-2017

Joy Ellen Larson, 70, of Zanesville, passed away June 21, 2017 at Genesis Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 19, 1946 in Zanesville, Ohio. The Daughter of Robert & Rachel (Ball) Glass.

Joy was a very active member of the St. Nicholas Catholic Church, and also local charities. She worked for Tat’s Pizzeria for over 20 years; she adored her grandchildren and spent time at all their activities. She loved fishing, bowling, and her card club.

She leaves behind her husband Donald “Monk” Larson of the home, Sons Scott Larson, Zanesville, OH, Brian (Amara Okam) Larson, Gahanna, OH, Adam (Barbara) Larson, Dresden, OH, Daughters Kristy (Ben) Neylon, Wickliffe, OH, and Susan (Kevin) Swackhammer, of Zanesville, OH. Grandchildren Jeremy, Katie, Tyler, Samantha, Courtney, Logan, Dawson, and Sydney. Her brother Robert (Martha) Glass, Zanesville, OH a Sister Betsy Glass, Zanesville, OH and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters Barbara Tatman, and Patricia Glass

Calling hours will be Friday, June 23, 4-8 PM , with Vigil at 8 PM with Father  Martin Ralko officiating, at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial on June 24, at 10:30 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Burial will conclude at the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
