Monday Morning Fire Investigated

The Zanesville Fire Department says a home was heavily damage after an early Monday morning fire. Investigators say they were called to 822 Leonard Avenue just after 2:00 a.m. and discovered a small home fully engulfed in flames. It took fire crews about 20 minutes to put out the fire. Firefighters says the cause of the blaze has been ruled accidental but undetermined. The owner was not home at the time of the fire. A pet dog died in the blaze. The Falls Township Fire Department assisted on the scene.
