Zanesville, Ohio- The Buckeye Bus made its way to Tom’s Ice Cream Bowl today.

Tom’s had Ohio State Alumni as well as cheerleaders, current students, and Ohio State ambassadors. OSU dance team member Madison Creps said going on the road provides her with a different perspective.

My favorite part is getting to interact with people and see what Ohio State is through their eyes because it’s a lot different in a current student vs. an alumni so that’s always really interesting and something I enjoy.

OSU President Michael Drake also made an appearance. Drake said visiting the towns around Columbus provides a way to meet OSU fans and alumni.

“One of the things that’s most gratifying about being associated with Ohio State is the strength and conductivity of Buckeye nation,” said Drake “We meet (OSU people) everywhere we go around Ohio and actually all around the country. Coming to communities like Zanesville that have been here and have been supporting us for over a century it’s just really a great thing so it’s a gratifying day for us. ”

Kids and parents alike were able to take pictures with Brutus and the dance team before having ice cream with President Drake.
