Annual National Cambridge Collectors Glass Show Draws Antique Enthusiasts to Cambridge
Interviewed by WHIZ reporter Gabe Hutton

Collectors and glass enthusiasts from across the region gathered at the Prichard Laughlin Civic Center on for the 2026 National Cambridge Collectors Glass Show, an annual event showcasing some of Ohio’s finest antique glassware.
The show featured dozens of vendors buying, selling and displaying glass pieces dating from the early 1900s through the 1950s. While the event celebrates Cambridge Glass, attendees also found pieces from a wide range of well-known manufacturers, making it a one-stop destination for collectors of all interests.
“It’s predominantly a glass show, and predominantly glass that was made from around 1900 through maybe the 1950s,” said Jack Thompson, co-chair of the National Cambridge Collectors Glass Show. “Although this is a Cambridge Glass show, we have a number of different companies here represented—Heisey, Imperial, Fostoria, Tiffin, Westmoreland and many others. Collectors from many different genres come here looking for pieces to add to their collections.”
The event offered something for seasoned collectors and first-time visitors alike. Each booth featured its own unique selection of glassware, with a variety of patterns, styles and colors on display.
According to Thompson, collectors are often drawn to glass for different reasons.
“Some people are just looking, and something speaks to them,” Thompson said. “They like the shape, the color or the beauty of a piece. Others are avid collectors who focus on a particular pattern or company, such as Cambridge or Heisey. One of the things that’s so unique about Cambridge Glass is the different colors they produced—they’re just gorgeous.”
Whether visitors were searching for a rare addition to an existing collection or simply admired the craftsmanship of vintage glassware, the annual show provided a unique opportunity to experience one of Ohio’s premier glass collecting events.
