Mary Ellen Schaffer

Mary Ellen Schaffer, 62, of Zanesville, passed away July 7, 2017 at Genesis Hospital.

She was born July 9, 1954 in Martins Ferry, daughter of the late Raymond Meyers and Mary Arlene Meyer. She was home care provider and worked for Bates Amusements Inc. for thirty-five years.

She is survived by her husband, Warren R. Schaffer of Zanesville; daughter, Ruth Hoge of Columbus; aunt, Priscilla Burge of Belmont, OH; niece, Consuela Lumadue of Marion, OH; great-nieces, Maraya, Shar’Lyn; adopted sons, David (Becky) Saylor of Zanesville, Rene (Becky) Betard of Wooster, OH; cousins, Jacquie (Jerry) Ruthers of Florida; grandchildren, Donna Marie Hoge, Ricky Hoge Jr.; great-grandchildren, Nate, Chelsea, Anthony and Emma Kay.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
