Muskingum Family YMCA holds Summer Day Camp

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – During the hot summer months, kids are getting a chance to get out and beat the heat.

The Muskingum Family YMCA is holding their Summer Day Camp for kids in grades K-8. The camp features many fun activities for kids such as sports, crafts, swimming and much more. Not only will kids be able to have fun during the camp, but parents can also be assured they they are in good hands.

“While at camp the kids are going to be able to do a number of different activities while also interacting and having a good time with one another,” said Leondre Crosby, day camp counselor. “Parents can also depend on the camp and know that their kids are ultimately being taken care of.”

Although being in charge of a camp full of kids can become quite stressful, for Crosby, his favorite part is simply helping make their day just a little bit better.

“My favorite part about this day camp would probably be making a kid smile and being able to cheer them up if they’re having a bad day,” said Crosby. “It’s the simple stuff like that that I enjoy the most.”
