Elmer Ray Pettit

ROSEVILLE
Elmer Ray Pettit 79 of Roseville passed away on Friday July 21, 2017 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. He was born in Roseville on May 3, 1938 to the late Kenneth and Ethel Newman Pettit.
Ray was a lifelong resident of Roseville where he enjoyed farming and his Massey-Ferguson Tractors. Ray retired from New Bakery as a truck driver. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church of Roseville, The Word of God Community Church in Roseville, and served our Country and protected our freedom in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by four children: Donnie (Ariel) Pettit of Nashport, Gary (Ronda) Pettit of Roseville, Doug (Sarah) Pettit of Roseville, and Dave (Cindy) Pettit of Roseville, a brother Herb Pettit, four sisters: Virginia Hill, Phyllis Lyons, Cathy Heiney, and May Rider. 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Carolyn Sohrenssen Pettit, a brother Don Pettit, a daughter Debbie Pettit and a son Ronnie Pettit.
Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Monday July 24 at The WORD OF GOD COMMUNITY CHURCH 5545 THIRD STREET (Ironspot) ROSEVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday at the Church with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
