Florafino’s makes change for Water Main Project

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – With the Maple Avenue water main replacement project starting on August 1, 2017. One area business is organizing accordingly.
Florafino’s Flower Market & Greenhouses on Maple Avenue will be right in the mix of the replacement project between Sheridan Street and McConnell Avenue. Owner Greg Orofino said during the three-month long project he’ll be asking customers to enter through the back entrance.
“I’m going to have signs posted on Euclid Avenue and also on Sheridan Street to tell people ‘you know this is the way to go to come in and out the back entrance,” Orofino said. “I think all the businesses are going to try and do that too. Try to get people to understand this is a safer way to come in and out and make things move along easily.”
The construction will take place between 6:00 A.M. until 2:30 P.M. So people may find it easier to go to Florafino’s between 3:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M. Orofino asked that people driving on Maple Avenue during construction stay alert and slow down.
“One thing we do ask is that people who are driving up and down Maple Avenue, even if they’re not coming to one of the local businesses right here, just be a little bit mindful of these guys,” Orofino said. “They’re risking their lives, because basically they’re trying to fix the pipes. So we can have good water.”
Orofino offers delivery at Florafino’s Flower Market & Greenhouses and says for all who don’t want to risk coming in during construction can just call (740) 452-8285 and request the order to be delivered.
