Y Bridge Brewing Co. to open Tuesday

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Y-City is officially getting its second brewery.
Y Bridge Brewing Co. will be opening their doors to the public at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1st.
The opening of the brewery and taproom has been highly anticipated by brewmaster, Ray Ballard.
“We had a lot of issues to get through, the building was not originally a bar, so we were starting from scratch,” said Ballard. “We had a lot of code issues we had to meet for having occupancy [of] people in a building, there’s a lot of very, very strict regulations you have to go through.”
The brewery is located at 1417 Linden Avenue near the Sheriden Street intersection.
Ballard will be featuring four beers for the first week; an IPA, double IPA, light blonde ale and an experimental ale. But, he hopes to create new brews with customer feedback.
Before dubbing himself brewmaster, Ballard spent years in the nursing profession but said he is enthused to pursue his passion for brewing.
“The craft beer business is booming and for some reason, Southeast Ohio has been kind of short to catch up to it and so timing wise I think it’s the right time, the right place and I’m just excited to get back into making big batches of beer,” said Ballard.
Y Bridge Brewing Co. will host their grand opening event on August 11th complete with beer specials and live music from Matt Frampton.
