Y-Bridge Arts Festival Preparations
ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The City of Zanesville and Artists are preparing for the Annual Y-Bridge Arts Festival.
The Festival is taking place at Zane’s Landing on August 4, 2017 from 2:00 P.M. until dark and August 5, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. until dark. Director Bob Grayson said they have artist’s come in from all over the United States to show off their work.
“The festival is a great experience for the city of Zanesville, Muskingum County, and for Southeast Ohio,” Grayson said. “We have one of the largest arts festival in this part of the state. We bring people from all over the country here. We’re receiving 2,000 to 3,000 tourist and visitors each time we do this.”
Grayson said the City of Zanesville has been incredibly helpful when it comes to providing materials the artists need and to making sure each person involved is safe.
“Most of what we do is the electrical hook ups for everything,” Zanesville’s Maintenance Supervisor Craig Stemm said. “Make sure it’s safe, get power to the vendors, and the food vendors. Then make sure everything’s taken care of and safe, so no one can get hurt.”
Grayson said there will be activities for children throughout the two-day event. For more information go to the Y-Bridge Arts Festival website at ybridgeartsfestival.com.
