Man Wanted in Muskingum Co. Caught

A man wanted on a search warrant in Muskingum County is captured in New Straitsville following a chase.

Chief Love and Sergeant Love were on patrol in the village, Monday August 7 when they encountered Chris Brown, of New Straitsville.

Brown was found to have a warrant in Muskingum County and when he learned of the warrant attempted to flee.

A foot pursuit took place down West Main Street in the village.

Sergeant Love deployed a taser, but the effects weren’t successful in stopping Brown.

Brown was eventually taken into custody at gunpoint.

Additional charges are pending against Brown for his attempt to elude apprehension by the New Straitsville Police Department.
