Columbus Man Sentenced to 18 Years in Prison

A Columbus man found guilty of multiple charges including Attempted Murder earlier this month appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court. The Prosecutor’s Office say 20-year-old Kaleonte Jones was sentenced by Judge Kelly Cottrill to 18 years in prison. The court says it must be served consecutive to a two year prison sentence in Franklin County. Jones who was convicted during a jury trial this month was also found guilty of felonious assault, tampering with evidence and having a weapon while under disability.
