McHughs presents check to help Tools for School Program

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Eastside Community Ministries helped hundreds of kids to go back to school with necessary supplies and one area business helped make that possible.

McHughs Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat presented Eastside Community Ministries with a check for 4,500 dollars to help fund the Eastside’s yearly Tools for School Program that supplies students in need from not only Muskingum but Perry and Morgan Counties.

“Working with Tim for the past 5 years. We have raised around 25,000 dollars just from Tim. So that goes to help purchase the supplies and book bags for the area students. This year we were able to help over 900 students go back to school with their backpacks full of the supplies they needed for s successful year.” said Executive Director of Eastside, Jamie Trout.

President of McHughs, Tim McHugh, explained this was a cause he wanted to support from the first day he heard of it.

“I contacted them and said you know we would like to do a promotion for every car we sell we donate so much money to the cause. So this is my fifth year doing it. I really think this is one of my worthwhile projects that we as a dealership[p can be involved in because that’s so important to make sure the kids have the right tools to get them launched correctly in life.”

McHugh said as a family man and a dealership they are very passionate for the cause and hopes to support it for many years to come.
