Zanesville Man Arrested for 8th OVI

A Zanesville man faces his 8th OVI offense after being charged this week with operating a vehicle under the influence.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Lloyd L. Welch Jr was stopped for a traffic violation on Brighton Boulevard and was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and or drugs.

The patrol said he has previously been convicted of a felony OVI offense and this arrest makes his second felony OVI.

His case will be presented to the Muskingum County Grand Jury on September 6, at 9A.M.
