Pet of the Week

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A six month old kitten is looking for his fur-ever home.
This weeks pet is Peaches a domestic short-haired male. The Animal Shelter Society’s Veterinarian Technician Lyndsey Desender said he’d be good with any home, even one with small children for he’s calm and doesn’t mind being handled.
“He is a very lovable cat as you can see he’s really chill,” Desender said. “He’s very playful and he is great with other dogs and cats. He’s just really a great cat, he loves to be held, and he likes to play with his little toys we have for him in his cage.”
Peaches has been updated on his shots, had his surgery, and his adoption fee is $70.00. The community can possibly meet Peaches and the other animals at the tailgate party before The Ohio State University plays against Indiana University.
“There will be hot dogs, chips, cookies, drinks, games, and a doggy kissing booth,” Desender said. “A lot of fun stuff. It is a great way to one learn about our shelter and two maybe meet their new family member.”
The tailgate party is Thursday August 31, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Animal Shelter. Community members can then be home in time for the game to start at 8:00 P.M.
