ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Dutro’s Ford Lincoln Nisan Incorporated is building up their future by tearing down their past.

The Graham family watched the deconstruction of the original showroom today. Co-Owner Bryan Graham expressed this building represented where his family got their start in downtown Zanesville for the car dealership business.

“There’s a lot of feelings here,” Graham said. “Our late father [James Graham] bought [Dutro’s Ford Lincoln Nisan Inc.] in 1976 and we’ve done a lot of additions. So I got my first start in the car business here in downtown with my brother [Clay Graham] along with our father. So it’s a lot of history.”

Graham explained that following the demolition the area will be excavated then another building will be constructed in the showrooms place.

“It’s going to be for storage,” Graham said. “We’ve got a lot of landscaping to do, some excavation to do once we get the building down, that will take about one week. It’s great for the revitalization of the downtown and the campus of [Dutro’s Ford Lincoln Nisan Inc.].”

The last addition before the construction project is done will be a car wash. Graham said the construction project started about four years ago and now hopefully they’ll officially be done in October 2017.

“This is great to move on to the new facilities, the employees are excited, a lot of people in town have embraced the project, we’ve maintained business well, and even with all the construction,” Graham said. “So it’s going to be good to be out of construction here eventually.”

According to Graham the grand opening is currently set for October 12, 2017.
