Animal Shelter Society Pet of the Week: Meet Hana and Sari!

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It’s time to visit the Animal Shelter Society to meet our pet, or pets, of the week. Meet Sari and Hana! These dogs are bonded together which means they’re a package deal. Sari is a 2-year old Cocker Spaniel and Hana is a 2-year-old Shih Tzu.

“So these pups are good pups. They love each other and they would make a great pet for folks that like to travel or, you know, go for rides. They’re pretty easy to deal with, they’re pretty good pups,” said April Gibson, the executive director of the Animal Shelter Society

While visiting Hana and Sari, Gibson told discusses a new fundraiser coming up in September. Bark Bourbon and Leaf is the name of the event at Taste of Ohio Wine Bourbon and Beer.

“It’s going to be on that Thursday, September 17th, from 6-8:30 [p.m.]. Tickets are $35. That includes little nibbles of appitizers, a cigar. It is a bourbon and cigar event. That’s where the leaf comes from and we’re actually going to have a gentleman there also making cigars right there, fresh, for folks if they want to purchase those,” Gibson said.
